I logged into my wordpress account this morning and I realised my blog statistical data missing! In-fact that is what I do when I sign in. The first thing I do is check my statistics for the last 24 hours and see where I am getting my visitors from. Then I visit the sites of my visitors and leave a comment or two on their blogs.
This morning I logged into my account and the statistics for the last 4 months (January-April) gone! I have been getting an aveage of 20 visitors per day. And my blog hits was around 2,500. Now it’s registering 0 hits and shows no activity for the last 4 months! What’s happening. The thing is, I like monitoring my blog statistics because it is a source of motivation for me to continue writing. And when I get a lot of visitors on a particular topic or post, I try to research more on the topic and write a few more posts on that theme. With my blog statistics gone, its like starting from the begining. I am lost.
Is anyone using wordpress having the same problem of missing blog statistics? If so please let me know. I am not sure if it’s some kind of virus or bugs or worms. By the way, what is difference between a virus, a bug and a worm? Have to do some reading on that.
So I have contacted the wordpress support group and waiting for a reply. I am not sure if I will be able to get all that missing data back. I hope I get the missing statistic data back. If not, well, its back to square one.
If anyone has any idea on solving these sort of problem please let me know.

Guess what? they are back!!
After lunch I checked my blog account again and guess what? They are back. My blog statistics! Phew!
Does anyone know why this happened?
Update on my missing statistics.
Ok. I got my blog statistics as of yesterday noon. And I also got my reply from Mark of wordpress support. He said they had a problem and they have now fixed it and my blog is safe. With all my blog statistics.
